We had a wonderful 8, night stay at a lovely, cosy cottage. It was spotlessly clean with beautiful furnishings and excellent amenities. the cottage served as a perfect base for exploring the Borders and Northumberland. We visited Lindisfarne, Alnwick Castle, Hadrian's Wall, and more. the thoughtful touches, like the well, equipped kitchen and cozy log fire, made it feel like a true home away from home. the cottage also had a lovely garden where we could relax. We hope to return one day and would have happily stayed longer. Cons: Nothing , it was perfect! 😊.

We had a fantastic stay at Mona's Cottage! The value for money was excellent and the room was beautifully decorated with high-quality furnishings and linens. The location was perfect, with plenty of attractions and coastal walks nearby. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
The only thing that could have made our morning meal better was if there were more options for breakfast.

A Disappointing Easter Getaway
The cottage had a nice interior design, which was pleasing. the cleanliness was decent, and the amenities provided were sufficient for a short stay.
The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. the mattresses were hard and lacked support, and the single beds were placed too close together, causing discomfort during the night.

I had a blast hiking and fishing in the area! Mona's Cottage was cozy and had everything I needed, plus a garden for BBQs. The airport was conveniently close too!
Oh, I just loved how far Cocklawburn Beach was from Mona's Cottage. Such a delightful walk!

It offers a quiet and quaint retreat. It comes with all the necessary self-catering equipment and linens. the gardens are well maintained, providing a relaxing environment. From here, you can easily explore the Borders and Northumberland region, visit landmarks like Lindisfarne and Alnwick Castle, or enjoy a day trip to Edinburgh via the nearby train station.
The beds were a bit hard and the single beds were too close to each other, which could be uncomfortable for longer stays.

The cottage was beautifully furnished and well equipped, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location was great, with easy access to the Northumberland coast and nearby towns. The cleanliness of the cottage was impeccable, and the large garden provided a perfect space for relaxing.
The settee in the cottage was quite uncomfortable to sit on, which was a bit disappointing. there were not enough fire logs provided for our two-night stay, which meant we couldn't fully enjoy the log burner.

That the settee in the living room was quite uncomfortable to sit on. It would have been nice to have a more comfortable seating option.
